It took some time in Mount Hyjal and Black Temple gearing up both old and new members, but on October 11th, we went back in to The Eye and faced off with our old friend, Kael'thas Sunstrider.

The last time we were there we had got very good progress, but that seemed long past as a different team stood opposite Kael and his advisors.

The first day of attempts was hard, but steady progress was made, and by end of day we could see the light at the end of the tunnel. The weapon phase did not phase us, thaladred was killing less gnomes and most of all, fluffy was staying alive.

Day 2 began with some wake up attempts and then it changed, like the sun rising on a new dawn, kael met a stronger, more focused team. This time it was on. We hit phase 4 strongly a few times, and could sense, smell, taste victory so close. Then it happened.

P5, with all nearly all up, "its magister's terrace on speed" and so it was, as his health went slowly down, but we all felt it, all could see that horizon and as his health hit 0 a huge wave of satisfaction hit like a tsunami we had watched approaching for months.

We fought her adds through the evening, and they laid us out, as we failed.
We gathered together and stood once more, with warriors to the fore!
And She fell as an arrow to the ground, from which she rose no more.

So fare thee well my Solarian, I never will see you no more,
But I'll ne'er forget the aoe on your adds as they hit the floor
And at each weekly raid to The Eye, a glass of mead I'll raise,
And I'll drink a health to Solarian, as she falls into her grave.

After less than 10 hours total working on the last boss in SSC, we managed to topple her on sunday. Our first time into phase3 she died. This was truely some excellent play by all those who worked to learn the fight and those playing on sunday.




I am not sure how many got the vial for the Hyjal attunement quest, but next week we will be sure that all in raid have the quest.
